'Transformed Driveways' is the company undertaking the works.
'Turn2Stone' is the name of the specialist surface being installed.
Q. Can Turn2Stone be applied to any surface?
Provided that the surface is basically sound and made of concrete, asphalt, wood or metal then the application of Turn2Stone should be fine.
Q. What if my existing surface is damaged?
This is not a problem as Transformed Driveways can undertake permanent repairs prior to applying the Turn2Stone surface.
Q. My block paving driveway is full of weeds. Can you help?
Yes, provided that the block paving is structurally sound we can transform it into a natural stone and weed free surface.
Q. Is Turn2Stone suitable for very steep driveways?
Absolutely, and the permanently fixed aggregates will provide great anti-slip properties in the winter months.
Q. Will loose gravel be a problem?
No, following proper sweeping after installation all the aggregate is permanently adhered to the substrate.
Q. How long before we can re-use the driveway?
Foot traffic should be fine after a couple of hours following installation although we need to keep vehicles off the area for around 12 hours to ensure a full cure of the specialist resins.
Q. How long will a Turn2Stone surface last?
Like everything, this will depend on the volume of traffic and type of use. For normal domestic situations a minimum 20 year life would be expected.
Q. Is the Turn2Stone surface easy to clean?
Yes, the surface can be swept or blown like most hard standing areas. An annual pressure wash is recommended to remove more stubborn grime and to keep the natural stone looking its best.
Q. Do Transformed Driveways guarantee their work?
Absolutely, all works come with a 5 year warranty for materials and workmanship.
Q. Does Turn2Stone comply with Local Authority regulations?
Yes, the new regulations regarding sustainable urban drainage systems (SUDS) are fully understood and complied with during all Transformed Driveways projects.
Q. Can Turn2Stone go over the top of imprinted concrete?
No problem, and as more issues with imprinted concrete come to light the option of overlaying this cementitious surface with Turn2Stone is becoming increasingly popular.
Q. What if I need to extend my existing driveway?
Providing any hard standing amendments form part of a Turn2Stone project, Transformed Driveways are more than happy to have their skilled workforce undertake these works.
Q. What about oil and fuel stains from parked cars?
The Turn2Stone surface is impervious to vehicle stains which, as they occur, should be treated with a de-greaser and then simply washed off.
Q. Will the Turn2Stone surface affect my damp proof course?
No, one of the main benefits of a Turn2Stone surface is that it is only around 6mm thick and, as such, can go straight on top of existing surfaces without adversely affecting levels.
